Jiangxi Normal University: FAQ

The specific English guide requires a valid foreign passport or nationality proof held for at least four years, plus more than two years of actual residence abroad within the preceding four years, measured up to 30 April of the admission year. It prints these conditions broadly. Confirm any approved exception; do not assume they apply only to Chinese-heritage applicants.

The newer specific English guide accepts TOEFL iBT 80 or above, IELTS 6.0 or above, Duolingo 95 or above, or evidence of English-medium previous study. It supersedes the older general guide’s Duolingo 100 figure for these English undergraduate routes. Confirm the required evidence and any next-cohort changes.

Yes. The guide asks undergraduate applicants for the Mathematics-section report of CSCA. It does not establish Physics or Chemistry requirements or a minimum CSCA score for these English routes. Confirm the paper language, test arrangements and any new subject requirements in the next call.

The 2026 specific guide quotes CNY 8,000 per academic year in Years 1–2 and CNY 16,000 per academic year in Years 3–4. Keep these year-specific amounts when budgeting rather than using an averaged annual fee. Confirm whether the next cohort keeps the same schedule; scholarships are separate and not guaranteed.

Self-funded applicants need a deposit certificate worth at least CNY 30,000 or equivalent. Dated charges include registration CNY 400, insurance CNY 800/year, health verification CNY 560/year, residence-permit quotation CNY 400/year and air-conditioning rental CNY 380/year/room. The university’s quotations do not guarantee future authority charges; confirm the full next-cohort payment instructions.

The guide quotes double rooms at CNY 2,400 per year. It does not specify whether that figure is billed per person, bed or room, so confirm the unit, actual campus, availability, facilities, utilities and holiday access. Air-conditioning rental is separately quoted at CNY 380 per year per room.

The university lists Category A Chinese Government Scholarship arrangements through home-country authorities, while Category B is for master’s and doctoral applicants. Jiangxi Provincial Government and university scholarships are generally available to self-funded degree students after enrolment, with applications starting in October. Selection, award amount and next-cohort conditions require confirmation.

The verified English guide gives May 2026 as the deadline month and September 2026 entry; the general guide states 30 May for autumn applications. That cycle is closed. Apply through the official university portal when the next call is confirmed, upload the complete documents and bring originals on arrival. The specific guide does not publish an exact next-cohort deadline.

The Office of International Programs lists foreignstudents@jxnu.edu.cn and +86-791-88120703, at 99 Ziyang Avenue, Nanchang 330022. Apply through the official portal. Confirm teaching and residence allocations separately.
