Campus life, Indian student community, food options, and day-to-day living at J.P. College of Engineering in Tenkasi.
Practical information about day-to-day life while pursuing B.E./B.Tech Civil at J.P. College of Engineering in Tenkasi, India. This covers the campus environment, accommodation, daily living and available safety and student-support services.
The college is at College Road, Ayikudi. Its official library page lists opening hours of 08:00-18:00 on working days and during vacations, a DELNET digital-journal collection, and seven-day borrowing for students. The college also lists an NSS unit and technical symposiums; ask for a current campus visit if facilities matter to your choice.
The TNEA 2026 booklet lists permanent accommodation for men and women, with a mess for each. It states room rent of ₹2,000 and mess bill of ₹2,000 per annum, plus a ₹1,000 admission fee; these figures are unusually low, so obtain a current written total and confirm what they include. The college hostel page shows separate men’s and women’s facilities and lists security, water and power backup.
The 2026 TNEA booklet marks both vegetarian and non-vegetarian mess options for the boys’ and girls’ hostels. It does not publish a meal plan or confirm whether both choices are served daily. Ask the hostel office about the current menu and all charges.
The college’s hostel page lists 24/7 security, and the TNEA booklet publishes an anti-ragging phone number: 8012520500. Those are institutional facilities and contact details; check current hostel supervision and grievance procedures before moving in. For admission or quota questions, the college lists principal@jpcoe.ac.in and 80125 20500. The placement cell lists placement@jpcoe.ac.in for training and recruitment support. TNEA counselling and certificate questions should be checked against the current government portal, because the 2026 registration window has passed.
