Justice Basheer Ahmed Sayeed College for Women: Hostel & Accommodation

Applicants needing accommodation should obtain current advice on suitable options, location, vacancy, charges and residence rules before arranging a move to Chennai. Compare travel to the Teynampet campus with the exact session and any practical attendance requirements. Academic admission does not by itself reserve accommodation; rent, deposits, food and transport need a separate budget.

The college has an on-campus canteen serving students and staff. Ask about current opening hours, menu, prices and dietary or allergy requirements before planning daily meals. No full meal plan or particular cuisine is assumed to be included in academic fees. Students living away from home should budget for food and any cooking or canteen arrangements separately.

The 13-acre Teynampet campus has academic buildings, science laboratories, a library, e-learning resources, an auditorium and seminar facilities. Students can participate in departmental associations, clubs, outreach and sports. Choose the exact programme and session carefully: the forenoon session runs 7:55am–12:55pm, while the afternoon session runs 1:05pm–5:30pm.

The institution lists anti-ragging, student-grievance, anti-discrimination and internal-complaints arrangements, with medical-officer and student-support resources. Obtain current emergency contacts, office hours and the procedure for seeking assistance during induction. Confirm transport and accommodation arrangements separately, particularly when activities or internships extend beyond the regular session. The library provides access to books, journals, internet resources and institutional digital subscriptions, while the e-learning centre supports online academic resources. Departmental mentoring, student-welfare arrangements and the Career Guidance and Placement Centre support study and preparation. Confirm current access, disability support and applicable document or concession guidance through the college.
