Is Kongu Engineering College a university?

It is a private autonomous college affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. Anna University lists its examination code as 7378 and TNEA counselling code as 2711; autonomous status does not turn the college into a separate university.

How do I apply for undergraduate engineering?

The documented government-quota route is TNEA counselling. Register under the current brochure, complete certificate verification and choose Kongu Engineering College, code 2711, with the correct branch; management-quota entry is a separate documented route.

What Class 12 subjects and marks are needed?

The engineering regulations require HSC or an accepted equivalent with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. TNEA 2026 used a 45% average in these subjects for General Category and 40% for specified reserved categories, along with nativity and schooling rules.

Are the programmes taught in English?

The applicable B.E./B.Tech, M.E./M.Tech, MBA and MCA regulations specify English for instruction, examinations and project reports. This language rule is separate from whether an overseas qualification or admission category is accepted.

What tuition should I budget for the next intake?

Current tuition is on request. The mandatory disclosure gives a 2025-26 annual fee table with quota differences and repeated year headings, so a dated quotation is needed for your programme, quota and admission year.

What does campus logistics accommodation cost?

The 2026 TNEA booklet lists annual room rent of ₹40,000, meal arrangements charges of ₹45,000 and electricity of ₹5,000 for both boys and girls. Confirm the current room type and inclusions before treating the ₹90,000 component total as a final accommodation bill.

When does the academic intake take place?

The latest verified welcome event for B.E./B.Tech and postgraduate entrants was scheduled for 24 August 2026. That historical date supports the listed August cohort month; it is not a future application deadline or proof that seats remain available.

Can international applicants use this admission route?

A general foreign-national route has not been verified for these offerings. Overseas qualifications and any foreign, NRI or OCI category need specific written confirmation; the government-quota engineering route also has TNEA eligibility conditions.

How is the MBA organised?

The MBA is a two-year programme organised into six trimesters. Its regulations include functional and sectoral electives, skill enhancement, a summer internship and a capstone project.

Can a graduate without a computing background join MCA?

The degree must first be accepted for admission under Anna University and Directorate of Technical Education conditions. Students without a computing-equivalent background must complete four additional non-credit bridge courses during the first two semesters.

Does autonomous status mean every programme has NBA accreditation?

No. UGC autonomy and Anna University affiliation are institutional statuses, while NBA accreditation is programme-specific and time-limited. Check the exact programme and validity period instead of assuming one accreditation covers every degree.
