Campus life, Indian student community, food options, and day-to-day living at London South Bank University in London.
The Computer Science course is taught at LSBU's Southwark campus. The university's computing school identifies facilities and learning around software, operating systems, high-performance computing and Raspberry Pi devices; the course page also lists work in programming, databases, AI, cloud computing and mobile development.
LSBU has two halls with more than 900 single bedrooms within a ten-minute walk of its main campus. For 2026/27, McLaren House publishes weekly rents from £215 for an ensuite to £295 for a superior ensuite with a large bed, with internet, utilities and contents insurance included; availability and room allocation are separate from a course offer.
LSBU's current cost guide budgets £45–£65 a week for food and household shopping. It does not publish a compulsory meal plan for Computer Science students. Campus microwaves are available in the Student Centre and LSBU Hub for students bringing food from home.
LSBU directs students to its SafeZone app for campus emergencies, first-aid requests and contact with the local safety team or a safety escort after dark. Its published emergency number is 020 7815 6666; immediate danger still requires the UK emergency number, 999.
The Student Life Centre provides advice through appointments, online chat and MyAccount. LSBU lists specialist support for disability and dyslexia, money advice, employability, health and wellbeing, while international applicants can contact the university's dedicated international team before applying and after receiving an offer.
