Loyola College: Hostel & Accommodation

Men’s and women’s hostels admit students separately after college admission. Seats are limited, and a college offer does not guarantee a hostel place. Contact the relevant hostel administration for availability, allocation, room arrangements, included services and a complete accommodation quotation before committing.

The 2026 prospectus describes multiple campus food vendors with local, national and international cuisine. Confirm vegetarian/non-vegetarian choices, allergy requirements, individual diets and hostel meal arrangements with the selected provider or hostel administration.

The Nungambakkam campus combines academic schools, a central library, clubs, sports, student associations and service learning. The college runs separate recreation facilities for men and women. Its student council and cultural activities provide ways to participate beyond classroom study; attendance and college conduct requirements still apply.

The Loyola Health Centre has a general physician, staff nurse and laboratory technician on working days. The college’s conduct rules prohibit ragging, drug/alcohol use and physical or verbal mistreatment based on gender, caste or religion. Its student counselling centre offers free counselling services. The central library offers online catalogue/e-resource access, book-bank and digital-library facilities. Student portals support attendance, internal-mark and exam records. Remedial English and subject support, mentoring and counselling services support academic participation; individual arrangements depend on assessed need.
