Is MUST MBBS a six-year programme?

Yes. MUST describes a six-year MBBS with five years of formal course work followed by a compulsory 12-month supervised internship. The Faculty's current programme page describes English as the teaching language, while noting that clinical teaching and assessment can have location-specific language requirements.

What is the published 2026/27 tuition for MBBS?

The official non-Macao-resident fee table lists HKD 258,000 for first-year MBBS tuition. It separately lists a HKD 2,000 admission miscellaneous fee and HKD 10,000 refundable caution fee; insurance, health examination, textbooks and dormitory costs can be separate.

Can I treat the first-year fee as the entire MBBS cost?

No. The university says sixth-year internship tuition varies by country and hospital and that tuition may increase by about 5% annually. A cost plan should preserve the confirmed first-year amount and keep later-year internship and living costs as variable rather than inventing a total.

What school qualifications does MUST publish for direct MBBS admission?

The 2026 regulations list routes including A Levels or IAL, IBDP, SAT, ACT, Canadian Grade 12 and ATAR. Each route has a stated threshold, and the listed A Level, IB and Canadian routes include Chemistry requirements.

Is there an MBBS interview?

Yes. MUST's 2026 direct-admission timetable says qualified MBBS applicants were interviewed by the Faculty of Medicine in May. The programme's next-cycle date and format should be taken from the next official admission notice when it is released.

How do I apply to MUST MBBS?

Use MUST's Online Application System for Direct Admission, select the relevant programme route, upload the required qualification and identity records, then follow the Faculty's interview and offer-confirmation instructions. MUST states that it has not authorised recruitment agents for admissions.

When does clinical training begin?

The published curriculum places clinical-foundation rotations in Year 3 at hospitals, family medicine and community-health clinics. The final clinical year contains specialty clerkship rotations before the compulsory supervised internship.

Where can the internship take place?

After passing the MBBS examination, students complete a 12-month compulsory supervised internship at recognised training units in Macau and beyond. MUST monitors experience and signed supervisor logbooks; the training organisation can affect the clinical language used.

Is the MBBS programme approved in Macau?

DSEDJ's higher-education programme register lists the MUST Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery as an approved bachelor programme. DSEDJ also published a 2025 HKCAAVQ quality-evaluation review. Those records do not by themselves establish a graduate's registration rights in another country.

Does MUST provide accommodation support?

Non-local first- and second-year undergraduates are required to live in MUST dormitories, while non-local third-year undergraduates are guaranteed a place. Use the active dormitory room table for the chosen room type when finalising the accommodation budget.

Are scholarships available for MBBS applicants?

MUST publishes competitive international admission scholarships for selected outstanding applicants. The listed distinguished award includes tuition, accommodation and a living allowance, while full and half awards cover tuition; retention follows published academic-performance conditions.

Can this degree guarantee practice rights abroad?

No. The university programme approval and quality-review records establish educational status in Macau, while professional registration, examinations, language rules and immigration requirements are set by the jurisdiction where the graduate plans to practise.
