These are the most common questions Indian students and families ask before applying for M.Sc. Biological Sciences at Mother Teresa Women's University, Kodaikanal. Covering admissions, fees, recognition, eligibility, hostel, career outcomes, and the India-return pathway — everything you need before making your decision.

Who can apply to regular programmes?

The2026–27 notice invites women candidates. Each degree has its own recognised undergraduate qualification and university equivalence conditions. This entry covers the regular Kodaikanal route.

Are all programmes taught at Kodaikanal?

The notice uses K for Kodaikanal, M for Madurai and Ch for Chennai. Programmes and centres are listed separately; select the exact Kodaikanal route for these entries.

How long are the regular PG degrees?

The degrees included here are two-year regular postgraduate programmes, normally structured across four consecutive semesters under their named regulations.

What is the teaching language?

English is stated in the named programme regulations or current departmental tables for these included degrees. Source years differ by subject; language-paper requirements remain separate.

Can any graduate enter every programme?

No. Science, nutrition, textiles and commerce degrees specify relevant prior study. Some humanities, communication and social-work regulations accept any recognised undergraduate degree, subject to university assessment.

How do I apply?

Use the university’s regular online application portal and select the exact programme and Kodaikanal campus. Complete the current application and follow the university’s selection and record-verification instructions.

When does the next cohort start?

Confirm the applicable admission notice and exact joining timetable directly with the university. An entry month is not shown where the current source does not establish one.

What does the course-fee amount cover?

The current2026–27 sheet labels amounts Course Fee per Year and lists admission fees separately. Those native course-fee quotes do not establish isolated tuition or a guaranteed full-course total; obtain the current invoice for additional charges.

Does the Sociology fee match the integrated degree?

No. The five-year integrated Sociology entry is a separate award. Its quoted price is not used for the two-year M.A. Sociology; obtain that degree’s current fee from admissions.

Is campus logistics accommodation available?

The university lists Attuvampatty and Anandagiri campus logistics and separate contacts. Confirm availability, allocation, the current fee invoice and residence rules; a degree offer does not reserve a room.

Do counselling or nutrition degrees confer a professional licence?

Admission to an academic degree does not by itself confer medical, clinical-psychologist or another regulated professional registration. Check the regulator’s separate requirements for the intended professional role.

Can an overseas graduate apply?

The university must assess overseas qualification equivalence and any international admission conditions. The current women-candidate restriction and exact programme prerequisites still apply; no blanket international eligibility is assumed.
