Question 1

Which English programmes are verified?

Accepted Answer

The current brochure names nine English undergraduate and three English master parents. This profile includes routes with verified exact durations: undergraduate Software Engineering, Business Administration, Computer Science and Technology, Materials Science and Engineering and Civil Engineering; master Design Science, Architecture and Tourism Administration. Other exact-route duration and language gaps remain held.

Question 2

How long are the supported programmes?

Accepted Answer

The supported undergraduate programme plans give four years. The corresponding Design Science and Architecture master catalogues give three years; the current international brochure explicitly identifies Tourism Administration as two years. Design and Architecture specialisations are study tracks, not separate awards.

Question 3

What English evidence is required?

Accepted Answer

The current international brochure requires IELTS 6.0 or higher, TOEFL 82 or higher, or passing NCU’s English test for English degree study. It does not establish a blanket English-medium-school exemption. The older generic master webpage omits the English exception; the fresh brochure expressly separates English evidence from HSK 5 for Chinese master routes.

Question 4

Is Chinese required for English undergraduate study?

Accepted Answer

Yes. NCU’s published international undergraduate regulations require HSK 4 for graduation from English programmes, together with Chinese and China-studies courses. These are graduation and curricular conditions, separate from English admission evidence. Chinese-taught routes have a different HSK requirement.

Question 5

Which CSCA papers apply?

Accepted Answer

All undergraduate applicants must submit CSCA results. The current brochure requires at least Mathematics for English arts/business; English science/engineering/medicine requires Mathematics plus either Physics or Chemistry. The exact programme category and current test arrangements should be confirmed with NCU; no pass score is invented.

Question 6

What age and education requirements apply?

Accepted Answer

The current brochure gives undergraduate age 18–25 with senior high-school graduation, and master age 18–35 with a bachelor’s degree. Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good health. The published nationality and overseas-residence checklist requires individual review, especially for specified Chinese-parent cases; obtain the university’s interpretation.

Question 7

Which documents are needed?

Accepted Answer

The checklist includes passport valid at least 12 months, highest diploma, transcripts, health form, police certificate and financial statement issued within six months, and the specified JPG photo. Undergraduate applicants provide CSCA results. Master applicants provide two recommendation letters and a study plan or research proposal. Translate documents outside Chinese or English as instructed.

Question 8

Do master applicants need supervisor acceptance?

Accepted Answer

The fresh brochure asks master and doctoral applicants for two recommendation letters and a study plan or proposal, then specifically adds a supervisor acceptance letter for doctoral applicants. It is not presented as a blanket master requirement. Follow the programme’s own subsequent university instructions.

Question 9

What tuition and application fees are published?

Accepted Answer

The 2026 schedule lists undergraduate arts CNY 18,000/year and science/engineering CNY 19,000/year; master arts CNY 23,000/year and science/engineering CNY 25,000/year. Application is CNY 400. Where the exact named programme’s fee category is not explicit, its price remains on request rather than assigning a guessed invoice. Scholarships are conditional awards.

Question 10

What accommodation costs are published?

Accepted Answer

Per person per academic year, current brochure rates are Qianhu north double CNY 7,500, triple CNY 5,000 and four-person suite CNY 3,750; Qianhu south triple CNY 3,000. Older webpages show different south-room categories. Confirm current availability, contract and additional charges; publication of a room price does not guarantee allocation.

Question 11

When does degree study begin?

Accepted Answer

The current brochure states September for degree programmes and confirms full-time study. Its March and September nondegree entries do not establish spring degree availability. No confirmed next 2027 degree application deadline is present in the reviewed brochure; ask the admissions office for the intended cycle’s calendar.

Question 12

Are Clinical Medicine and older English master routes included?

Accepted Answer

Clinical Medicine is explicitly Chinese in the current recommendation table, so no English MBBS route is inferred. The older HTML table describes English Software Engineering master and bilingual Material Forming/Control or Civil/Water routes. These remain held for fresh exact English-route confirmation rather than carried forward automatically.

Question 13

Where will I study and who handles admission?

Accepted Answer

NCU’s International Students Admission Office is at Qianhu Campus, 999 Xuefu Avenue, Honggutan District, Nanchang, with study@ncu.edu.cn and +86-791-83968702. Confirm the exact teaching and residence assignment in the offer. An admissions contact does not establish an authorised intermediary relationship or partnership signing authority.
