Sai University: FAQ

Sai University appears in the University Grants Commission's consolidated list of all universities and in its consolidated list of private universities under Tamil Nadu. It was established under The Sai University Act, 2018 of the Tamil Nadu legislature. The university also states on its admissions page that its B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) programme is recognised by the Bar Council of India; that programme-level claim was not verified on a Bar Council of India published list.

The campus is at Sai University, One Hub Road, Old Mahabalipuram Road, Paiyanur, Chennai 603104, Tamil Nadu. It is on the OMR IT corridor south of central Chennai, near Navalur. The university runs bus and van transport for students and publishes the charge separately from tuition.

Published programme blocks list Rs 2 lakh a year for B.A./B.Sc. (Hons.) and BCA routes, Rs 1.5 lakh for media routes, Rs 2 lakh for BBA, Rs 2.5 lakh for B.Tech biotechnology, biomedical and environmental engineering and for both law degrees, Rs 3 lakh for computing, data science and AI B.Tech routes and the MBA, and Rs 1 lakh a year for the LL.M. and the postgraduate diplomas. The English Literature page, the anaesthesia and operation theatre technology page, the Daksha Fellowship and five 2026-added B.Tech pages carry no usable tuition figure.

No teaching-language statement was found on the programme pages, the admissions pages or The Sai University Act, 2018. English-medium instruction is not assumed from the English-language website. Confirm the teaching and examination language for your programme with the school before accepting an offer.

The official site publishes no international, NRI or overseas admission page, fee category or eligibility statement. The application form lists international dialling codes but describes no separate international route. International applicants should ask the admissions office directly before applying, and should not assume domestic eligibility or fees.

B.Tech and BBA pages say admission may consider JEE Main, SAT, SAIU CAT or an equivalent examination. Law routes accept CLAT, LSAT India, AILET or other national or state law entrance scores, and the admission checklist mentions the Sai University Law Admissions Test (SLAT). MBA routes accept CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT or SAIU CAT, and the LL.M. accepts CLAT PG and LSAT India.

Programme fee blocks publish a 10% tuition scholarship for 95% or above in Class 12, a 10% need-based scholarship for EWS applicants with 90% or above, and a 10% achievement scholarship for top-three state or national competition ranks. A separate FAQ answer describes scholarships of 25% to 100% plus need-based financial aid. The two published statements do not agree, so confirm the current scheme and documents with admissions.

Programme fee blocks publish Student Residence charges of Rs 1.5-2.2 lakh a year if availed and a one-time non-refundable Rs 25,000 security deposit. The FAQ says residence is arranged with a partner private property and students commute by shuttle, while also carrying an undated note that the campus campus logistics was under construction. Confirm the current arrangement, vacancy and charges for your intake.

Register on apply.saiuniversity.edu.in and complete the online application for the named programme. Submit Class 10 and Class 12 records and any accepted entrance-test score, and complete the school's selection step. The FAQ says applicants awaiting Class 12 results may apply using Class 10 marks and submit the transcript before or within one month of joining.

Optometry, physiotherapy, medical radiology and imaging technology and the Ph.D. in artificial intelligence are not published here. Their official pages either conflict on programme duration or publish no eligibility, fee and curriculum detail, so those awards stay held until the university publishes consistent information.
