Question 1

Is SCAU recognised?

Accepted Answer

SCAU is listed in the Ministry of Education 2026 higher education register under 华南农业大学, code 4144010564, in Guangzhou, Guangdong. Institutional listing does not guarantee recognition of a particular qualification overseas or confer a professional licence.

Question 2

Which programme is verified in English?

Accepted Answer

Resource Utilization and Plant Protection, Plant Protection direction, in the College of Plant Protection. The English fee table specifically identifies this master. The separately listed Resource Utilization direction and the academic plant-protection subjects are not automatically English choices.

Question 3

How long is the programme?

Accepted Answer

The current international master catalogue specifies three years and professional master status for row 78, Plant Protection direction. Exact formal award wording should be confirmed; no MSc, MEng or overseas professional equivalence is inferred.

Question 4

Who can apply?

Accepted Answer

The ordinary master route requires a non-Chinese citizen with a valid foreign passport, bachelor’s degree, good academic record, good conduct and good health. The published self-funded policy sets age at 35 or below; confirm the relevant age reference date for the intended cohort.

Question 5

What English score is required?

Accepted Answer

The current prospectus states TOEFL 80 or IELTS 6.0 or above for English study. It does not establish an automatic native-English or prior-English-degree waiver. Confirm accepted test versions and any individual exemption before applying.

Question 6

Is HSK required?

Accepted Answer

The current prospectus assigns HSK 4 to Chinese-taught admission. The earlier general policy contains broader Chinese-language wording; the current specific English route is presented here with its English entry requirements. Ask the college to confirm Chinese-learning and graduation expectations; no numerical graduation threshold is invented.

Question 7

What academic documents are needed?

Accepted Answer

Prepare bachelor’s qualification and transcripts with the stated notarisation/translation requirements, English proof, two recommendations from associate professors or higher, and the personal statement/study or research plan. The current brochure uses 800 characters in Chinese and 800 words in English; confirm the accepted language and format.

Question 8

What other documents are needed?

Accepted Answer

Provide the official application form, valid passport copy, passport-size photos and JPG, and a valid Foreigner Physical Examination Form completed in English under the self-funded policy. The college may request additional materials or an interview. No unverified fixed bank balance, passport validity period or police-certificate mandate is added.

Question 9

When and how do I apply?

Accepted Answer

The published annual pattern is September degree entry, with applications until 30 June of the enrolment year. Confirm the next cohort calendar. Apply through the official SCAU international-student portal, upload documents and follow academic-college review, official admission, visa and registration instructions.

Question 10

What does it cost?

Accepted Answer

The published English master tuition is CNY 26,000/year. Application costs CNY 500, non-refundable; degree-student insurance is CNY 800/year. Double-room housing is CNY 700/month or CNY 8,400/person/year. Confirm the current invoice and reservation terms; daily living and other personal spending are additional.

Question 11

Are scholarships available?

Accepted Answer

The prospectus describes Chinese Government Scholarship support and a Guangdong Government scholarship. Its Guangdong master award is a one-off CNY 20,000, not an annual stipend. Awards have separate eligibility and selection conditions; a current future programme-specific CSC notice is not established, so funding is not promised.

Question 12

What are housing and meals like?

Accepted Answer

The fee page describes an air-conditioned double room with bathroom, water supply, furniture and network port. Allocation and availability require confirmation. The prospectus lists campus canteens, but verified halal certification, Indian-menu provision, allergy handling and cooking arrangements remain to confirm.

Question 13

How can Students Traffic help?

Accepted Answer

Students Traffic can help compare the verified route, organise the application checklist and identify questions about English proof, research fit, qualification wording, fees and housing. Applications use SCAU’s official process; the university and responsible authorities decide admission, scholarship and visa outcomes.
