Where is Takshashila University?

This is the state private university at Ongur near Tindivanam in Villupuram District, Tamil Nadu. It is distinct from similarly named technical colleges, schools and policy organisations in other locations.

What qualifications are needed for undergraduate study?

Requirements vary by programme. Science entries identify school science or biological-science subjects; several commerce routes require Commerce, Business Studies, Accountancy or Auditing. Use the exact programme entry rather than a blanket school-pass rule.

Can a school-leaver enter a postgraduate degree?

These postgraduate entries require the named recognised bachelor’s degree or related subject route, with required marks and university assessment. Class 12 alone does not establish eligibility for a master’s degree.

Are related bachelor subjects accepted?

Some postgraduate pages allow related disciplines or subject proficiency, subject to university approval. Provide the complete degree and mark-sheet records for assessment rather than assuming every related-sounding subject qualifies.

Is an entrance examination compulsory?

Selection varies by programme and cycle. Some entries say an entrance examination, aptitude test or interview may apply. The BA Tamil page describes school-mark selection and an optional interview. Confirm the exact current selection instructions.

Is the medium English or Tamil?

The exact teaching and examination language has not been independently established for these entries. Confirm current arrangements with the department; the degree subject and website language do not establish the teaching medium.

How should I interpret the fee figure?

Where available, the native figure is an indicative latest-retained published programme quote. Obtain the current written itemised quotation and applicant-category conditions before paying. Living costs and other charges require separate budgeting.

Does a fee quote include accommodation?

Do not assume it includes a campus logistics room, meals, transport or other compulsory payments. Ask for the complete programme and living-cost breakdown, payment schedule and applicable refund terms before making a commitment.

Use the official admissions portal, register and complete OTP verification, select the exact programme, enter academic details and upload the relevant records. Follow selection and document-verification instructions and pay only through the official channel.

Are international applicants covered?

These entries verify domestic qualification routes. Overseas qualification equivalence, applicant permissions, programme-specific requirements and international charges need separate university confirmation; no blanket overseas admission is implied.

Are campus logistics places available?

The university describes separate campus logistics for boys and girls, but this does not establish current room availability. Confirm allocation, reporting rules, accommodation and meal charges, individual dietary needs and transport directly.

When is the next intake?

The institution advertises the 2026–27 cycle, but an exact first-entry month is not independently established here. Confirm the current application closing date and reporting instructions with the university; no dated start is promised.
