What is the BEMC program at Bari?

BEMC (Bari English Medical Curriculum) is a purpose-designed 6-year English-medium Medicine and Surgery program at the University of Bari, structured specifically for international IMAT-admitted students. It has English-medium clinical coordination, international faculty orientation, and structured support for students from non-Italian systems — making it one of the most internationally accessible Italian medical programs.

Is the University of Bari's MBBS valid for India?

Yes. The Medicine and Surgery degree is WHO-recognised. With a valid NMC Eligibility Certificate, BEMC graduates are eligible for FMGE/NExT and NMC registration. Students Traffic handles the NMC certificate for every enrolled student.

What IMAT score is needed for Bari?

Bari is moderately competitive — scores of 65–78+ typically achieve allocation for the BEMC program. Annual cutoffs vary. Students Traffic tracks all-Italy cutoffs and advises on optimal preference ordering for your IMAT score.

How does Bari compare to northern Italian cities for cost?

Monthly living costs in Bari (€500–750) are €200–400 lower than Rome (€700–1,100) and €400–600 lower than Milan (€900–1,400). Over six years, the cumulative saving is substantial. Students Traffic models total 6-year cost across all Italian options before recommending.

Is Policlinico di Bari a good clinical training hospital?

Yes — Policlinico di Bari is one of Southern Italy's largest academic medical centres with high patient volume across cardiology, oncology, haematology, gastroenterology, and emergency medicine. The clinical case breadth is directly relevant to FMGE/NExT preparation.

Does the Bari BEMC program support students with no Italian language skills?

Yes. BEMC was specifically designed for international students — clinical coordination and academic administration operate in English throughout the program. Italian language skills help for daily life but are not required for the academic program itself.

Is ADISU Puglia housing available for BEMC students?

ADISU Puglia manages regional student housing. Shared apartments in Bari run €280–420 per person — among Italy's most affordable. The BEMC program team helps coordinate housing for incoming international students.
