Campus life, Indian student community, food options, and day-to-day living at University of Botswana in Gaborone.
Medicine is delivered through the University of Botswana Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences in Gaborone. The University publishes accommodation allocation information and a residence-management system, but the 2026/27 accommodation list makes clear that limited beds mean not every applicant receives a room.
The 2026/27 schedule lists BWP 7,740 per year for a full-time undergraduate hostel. University accommodation is limited; the published allocation notice says unsuccessful applicants should seek housing in and around Gaborone and that a waiting-list place is not a guarantee.
No MBBS meal plan was identified in the reviewed University materials. Food and personal living expenses are separate from the BWP 78,735 annual MBBS fee published in the University schedule.
No Faculty-specific safety statistic was verified for this package. The University provides accommodation administration and campus services, while day-to-day housing, travel and personal safety planning remain separate from academic admission.
University of Botswana publishes undergraduate admissions, online registration, payment guidance and residence-management routes. Programme-specific admissions enquiries are directed to the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, while University admissions manages the central application process.
