University of Jinan: FAQ

The published schemes differ. Undergraduate scholarship: IELTS 6, TOEFL 70, Duolingo 100 or EF SET 60, alongside its stated native/official-language or previous English-study alternatives. President graduate scholarship: IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL 90, or its accepted equivalent/English-background routes. These are scheme conditions; confirm the current self-funded requirement separately.

The undergraduate scholarship states under 25 and the President master scholarship under 30. The Chinese Government Scholarship master route states under 35 with its own academic and language conditions. These separate scheme limits do not establish one universal age limit for every self-funded applicant. Confirm the exact route and current cutoff.

The linked general checklist asks for application and basic information forms, passport, qualification or study evidence and transcript. Self-paid applicants submit a guarantor statement. It includes additional employment/non-criminal evidence when graduation was more than two years ago and extra previous-school and visa records for applicants already studying in China. Confirm the current version before applying.

The general graduate checklist adds a study plan and two recommendations from associate professors or higher. The President scholarship separately lists notarised degree records, language evidence, health and police records and a UJN supervisor acceptance letter. Follow the selected scheme’s current rules rather than treating every scholarship document as universal self-funded policy.

The standing schedule posted in October 2025, effective from January 2023, lists English tuition of CNY 20,000 per year for these bachelor subjects and CNY 24,000 for these master subjects. The self-funded application charge is CNY 400. Scholarship and cooperation-route charges follow their own documents. Confirm the current applicable schedule and payment instructions.

Standing charges per person per year are CNY 15,000 single, CNY 9,000 double and CNY 4,500 four-person. The registration notice says the university assigns designated accommodation and prohibits private off-campus renting. Only a mattress is provided on the bed, so students prepare other bedding. Confirm the actual room, availability and current residence terms.

The undergraduate scholarship page describes 50% tuition and accommodation support, subject to its eligibility and annual review. The President graduate scholarship lists tuition, accommodation and insurance; its CNY 2,000 monthly living allowance is expressly for doctoral students. The separate CSC route has its own subject list and conditions. No scholarship award or deduction is automatic.

The undergraduate and President scholarship pages give June 10 without a year; the CSC page gives March 15 without a year. These do not establish a future dated call or a general self-funded deadline. Confirm the next programme cycle, funding window and start date directly, then follow the admission notice for registration.

The current notice directs registration to the international education and exchange school at West Campus. The school has dedicated admissions, student administration, academic and residence-service sections. The registration location does not allocate every degree’s classes or laboratory. Confirm the teaching campus, assigned room, insurance and arrival documents before travelling.
