Is the Medicine programme direct-entry after high school?

Yes. It is an Integrated Academic Studies programme -- admission follows directly from gymnasium, or a 4-year secondary medical or veterinary school, with no separate bachelor's stage required first.

What qualification is awarded on graduation?

Graduates receive the academic title Doctor of Medicine (MD), aligned with Serbia's national List of Titles under the National Council for Higher Education.

How long is the programme and how is it structured?

Six years (360 ECTS credits, 6,030 teaching hours): two years of foundational sciences, a third year adding introductory clinical subjects, and three years of advanced clinical disciplines, plus 510 hours of summer clinical practice and a final-semester 300-hour clinical internship.

What is the current tuition fee?

EUR 6,000 per year (EUR 3,000 per semester) for the 2026/27 cohort, confirmed on the Faculty's official Fees and Admissions pages; a EUR 50 application fee also applies (the Admissions page separately lists a EUR 100 fee at registration that has not been reconciled with the EUR 50 figure).

What entrance exam does the university require?

A 3-hour written exam in Biology and Chemistry, in English, with a minimum passing score of 21 out of 60 points. There is no standardized-test-based alternative admission route.

Is this degree automatically recognized across the EU?

No. Serbia is not an EU member state, so this degree does not carry the automatic EU-wide recognition that an EU-member country's medical degree carries. It is, however, WHO/FAIMER-listed and ECFMG-eligible for US pathways, and noted as acceptable to Canadian medical regulators.

When does the academic year start?

The academic year begins 1 October. Applications for the English-medium Medicine track have typically opened in June, with the entrance exam in early July and enrollment by mid-July; confirm exact upcoming-cycle dates directly with the Faculty (medni.eng@gmail.com) closer to the application period.

Is university accommodation available for international students?

No verified official university accommodation programme for international Medicine-in-English students was found. Applicants should plan to arrange private rental housing and confirm current options directly with the Faculty.

Do Indian students need NEET to join this programme?

The university's own admissions criteria do not reference NEET. Separately, India's National Medical Commission requires Indian citizens and OCI holders who obtain a primary medical qualification abroad to have qualified NEET-UG, whose result serves as the mandatory Eligibility Certificate.
