What IMAT score is needed for Parma?

Parma is one of the more accessible northern Italian IMAT destinations — scores of 62–75+ typically achieve allocation. Annual thresholds vary. Students Traffic tracks Italy-wide cutoffs and advises on preference ordering.

Why is Parma's small cohort size an advantage?

A smaller English cohort means more direct faculty contact, more per-student clinical supervision, and more responsive administrative support than at the large-batch programs of Bologna, Rome, or Milan. For students who want genuine mentoring relationships, small cohort programs consistently produce better outcomes.

What does Ospedale Maggiore di Parma offer for clinical training?

AOU di Parma is Parma's main teaching hospital, with strong clinical activity in cardiology, gastroenterology, oncology, and general surgery. The smaller scale means higher per-student clinical exposure in rotations.

How close is Parma to Bologna and Milan?

Parma is 100 km west of Bologna (45 minutes by fast train) and 120 km from Milan (60 minutes). Both cities are accessible for day trips, interviews, and career events — making Parma an effective base for northern Italy access at lower cost.

Is ER.GO housing available for Parma students?

ER.GO (Emilia-Romagna Regional Agency) manages subsidised housing in Parma for qualifying students. Private apartments cost €320–500 per person. Students Traffic advises on ER.GO eligibility and alternative housing options.

Is Parma safe for Indian MBBS students?

Yes — Parma consistently ranks among Italy's safest and most liveable mid-size cities. Exceptionally low crime rate. Very comfortable for international students.
