Is the University of Warsaw public or private?

Are University of Warsaw degrees taught in English?

Some are. UW's 2026/27 Admissions Office list identifies English-taught first-cycle, long-cycle and second-cycle programmes, while many other degrees are in Polish; always verify the exact IRK field.

UW has student-support and accommodation channels, but room allocation, price, deposit, utilities and availability are not one fixed university-wide promise. Apply through the current university route and compare it with private Warsaw housing before committing.
