Training & support
Practical training & industry exposure
Applied work is built into each of these degrees rather than offered as an extra. The B.A. (Hons.) Liberal Arts and Humanities requires five internships, mixed academic and corporate, across the four years. The M.A. Public Policy carries a mandatory two-credit internship, with an optional six-month capstone project for students who want longer applied work. The Master of Public Health combines an internship with a dissertation, capstone project or community service learning project. The two-year MBA places internships in the summer and winter vacations. Support comes from the Office of Career Services and the Office of Career and Professional Development, which run career counselling, resume and cover letter workshops, interview skills training, networking events and placement assistance. Jindal Global Business School lists recruiters including Deloitte, KPMG, PwC, Accenture, ICICI Bank, American Express, Rolls-Royce, Tata Consultancy Services, Wipro, HCL and Infosys, and internship hosts including Tata Motors, Tech Mahindra, Reliance Retail, CRY (Child Rights and You) and the SRF Foundation. The Jindal School of Government and Public Policy names UNDP, the World Health Organisation in Geneva, NITI Aayog, the Centre for Policy Research, Observer Research Foundation, Pratham and Teach for India among the destinations of its public policy alumni. The five-year law degrees add four compulsory clinical courses and five compulsory internships, at least one of them under Trial and Appellate Advocates; Jindal Global Law School opens recruitment with a Zero Day Placement Event in the penultimate year, and around 40 to 50 organisations engage with its Office of Career Services each hiring cycle.
