Basic Psychological Studies at Northeast Normal University: Eligibility & Requirements

Select the exact subject, teaching school, campus and funding route.

• Hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, have strong academic records and conduct, and be a non-Chinese citizen in good physical and mental health.
• Current 2027–2028 CSC Type B permits master’s applicants aged 35 or younger. Type A requires applicants under 35; do not treat these as identical limits.
• Meet one English condition: TOEFL 80/IELTS 6.0 or above, English as native/official language, or a degree obtained through English-medium instruction.
• Submit a research proposal of at least 1,000 Chinese characters or 1,000 English words and two signed professor/associate professor recommendations.
• A prior supervisor conditional-acceptance letter is optional for master’s applicants; the compulsory proposal signature in the notice applies to doctoral applicants.
• For Type B, applicants must apply directly to NENU themselves. Agency-submitted applications cause disqualification from this scholarship.
• Concurrent Chinese government/university scholarships are prohibited for Type B except one-time awards; annual scholarship review and original-document checks apply.
• Open to: International applicants meeting the exact programme and verified scholarship-route conditions
• Type B 2027: master’s age 35 or younger; Type A: under 35.
• Type B requires mandatory applicant self-submission; agency-submitted applications disqualify the applicant from this scholarship.
• 2027 unrestricted self-funded admission is unverified; confirm the intended route.
• Former Chinese citizens should confirm the current nationality/residence assessment; the older general guide uses an expired 2026 assessment date.

Campus: Renmin St. Campus. General 2026 and current 2027 catalogues verify the programme. Current 2027 scholarship recruitment is established; a 2027 self-funded application opening/deadline is not independently proved. Current 2027 catalogue flags this subject for CSC High-level Graduates, CSC Bilateral Type A and NENU Presidential Scholarship; flags mean availability, not an award. CSC Silk Road is not marked for this subject in the current catalogue. Current Type B award covers tuition, on-campus accommodation, CNY 3,000 monthly allowance and medical insurance. Apply in both systems, agency 10200, by 28 February 2027. Type A uses the home-country dispatching authority’s own dates; full and partial awards differ. Presidential selection is competitive among newly admitted self-funded students; exact 2027 self-funded opening and award terms require confirmation. Type B annual review can suspend or cancel funding; in principle recipients cannot change major or study duration. Late arrival and accompanying family require NENU approval. Concurrent-funding violations cause cancellation and repayment; deliberate concealment also causes a three-year CSC application ban.
