Hostel facilities, Indian food availability, campus safety, and accommodation options at Beijing Foreign Studies University.
Hostel arrangements and costs vary by room type and academic year. Confirm current availability and fees directly with Beijing Foreign Studies University before making any payments.
Accommodation overview
The 2026 UG guide quotes accommodation per person per day: examples include CNY 40 for a shared-bathroom double, CNY 60 or 70 for different West Campus single-room types, CNY 90 for an East Campus private-bathroom single, and CNY 90–100 for a West Campus Domestic Mansion single. These are room categories, not guaranteed allocations or annual prices. Admitted students normally reserve through the university system within its announced period; designated scholarship housing follows the relevant allocation rules. Confirm availability and the current category before budgeting. The degree guide lists comprehensive insurance references of CNY 800/year or 400/half-year, separately from tuition and housing.
Food & daily living
The reviewed degree guides do not establish halal certification, a vegetarian meal plan or allergen controls. Ask the international office about the actual campus and residence before accepting accommodation, and explain any precise dietary restrictions. Confirm whether self-catering is permitted and what appliance rules apply. Food is separate from the published tuition and daily room charges; do not infer a meal plan from a room quotation.

Campus & lifestyle
BFSU’s East and West campuses are on Xisanhuan North Road in Haidian, at No.2 and No.19 respectively. The university’s language-and-culture setting includes a multilingual library and the World Language Museum. Academic choices extend beyond language learning into business, education, law and international affairs. A programme’s school and exact teaching language matter: Chinese, bilingual and English routes can have different durations and entry conditions. Confirm the admitted cohort’s teaching and registration venue before arranging accommodation; a school’s contact address is not a guarantee of every class location.
Safety & student support
The degree guides require appropriate health and conduct for study and valid insurance before registration. UG applicants under 18 need university approval and notarised guardian documents in China. These are admission checks, not a campus safety rating. Follow the university’s current arrival, insurance and residence instructions and complete any required local accommodation registration. Applicants use study.bfsu.edu.cn and BFSU’s official admission process. The Overseas Students Affairs Office publishes study@bfsu.edu.cn for enquiries. Students Traffic can help compare public programme information; applicants handle university application/submission steps through BFSU’s official channels. Confirm school-specific documents, scores and the offer directly with the university.
