Question 1

Which English degree programmes are included?

Accepted Answer

The supported 2027 portfolio contains six undergraduate programmes and four masters. UG choices are Chinese Language and Culture, Sinology and Chinese Studies, Finance, Accounting, International Economics and Trade, and Digital Economy. The masters are Finance, International Business, Industrial Economics and International Trade. Parenthetical digital or industry focuses are preserved within the relevant programme title.

Question 2

Are all programmes taught in English?

Accepted Answer

Only the current catalogue’s English-labelled routes are included. Chinese-taught and bilingual entries remain outside this portfolio. The Audiology dual degree is held because the latest English label conflicts with the detailed school description of Chinese-English bilingual teaching, including 60% fully English courses.

Question 3

How long are the programmes?

Accepted Answer

The supported undergraduate programmes have verified four-year structures, established by the school curriculum or specific institutional programme approval. The latest English master catalogue states two years. A maximum extension period or a general two-to-three-year master range is not substituted for the route’s standard duration.

Question 4

Will I study in Beijing or Hainan?

Accepted Answer

The current Chinese Language and Culture and Sinology undergraduate rows explicitly name Beijing; all four current English masters list Beijing. The Business School UG rows do not specify a campus. A separate 2026 scholarship notice allocates particular cohorts across Hainan and Beijing. Confirm the arrangement in your own offer and scholarship documents.

Question 5

Do international undergraduate applicants need CSCA?

Accepted Answer

Yes. BLCU’s central guidance requires CSCA results for international undergraduate applications beginning with autumn 2026. The 2027 scholarship guide also requires a valid score report. Confirm the programme’s required papers and score standard; teaching in English does not itself prove a CSCA exemption.

Question 6

What English scores are published?

Accepted Answer

The central entry table lists IELTS 5.5 overall and in each component, TOEFL 80 or TOEIC 650 for the established English Business School UG routes, plus interview. Sinology lists IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL 90. Finance and International Business masters list IELTS 6.0 with each component 5.5, TOEFL 90 or native English status. Newly listed routes require school confirmation of their exact standard.

Question 7

What academic qualifications are needed?

Accepted Answer

Undergraduates need high-school graduation or an equivalent qualification. Master applicants need a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, academic transcripts, field-related references and a study plan. Nationality evidence and document review also apply; a programme listing does not guarantee admission.

Question 8

Are there age or nationality conditions?

Accepted Answer

The central undergraduate guide states ages 18–55, with university approval and guardian evidence for under-18 applicants. The central graduate page states applicants must be under 55. Relevant Chinese-parent and former-Chinese undergraduate applicants face additional nationality and overseas-residence documentation. Scholarship schemes can impose different age limits.

Question 9

What is the 2027 tuition?

Accepted Answer

Chinese Language and Culture is CNY 35,000 per year. The other supported English UG rows are CNY 39,000 per year. English master Finance is CNY 48,000 per year; International Business, Industrial Economics and International Trade are CNY 49,000 per year. These are annual tuition quotations from the current catalogue, excluding accommodation and living expenses.

Question 10

What are the application fee and deadlines?

Accepted Answer

The 2027 brochures quote an application fee of CNY 800, non-refundable except for university-related reasons. The UG brochure lists 1 February 2027 for spring and 31 July 2027 for autumn; only eligible programmes offer spring entry. The graduate brochure lists 31 July 2027 for fall. Scholarship or school deadlines can be earlier.

Question 11

Can I obtain a scholarship?

Accepted Answer

The 2027 bilateral Chinese Government Scholarship guide describes tuition, accommodation, allowance and medical-insurance support for successful awardees. Applicants follow the relevant dispatching authority and university requirements. Scholarship participation, campus allocation and award conditions must be confirmed for the exact programme; applying is not an award guarantee.

Question 12

How should I budget for accommodation?

Accepted Answer

The published Beijing reference has daily prices: residence singles CNY 200–300, double-room beds CNY 90–120 and four-bed rooms CNY 70 per bed; conference-centre categories have separate prices. The university says rates may change with stay length. Confirm availability, campus and booking period; do not turn a daily rate into an invented annual contract.

Question 13

Does the health dual degree guarantee professional registration?

Accepted Answer

No professional-registration guarantee is made here. That route remains held for the teaching-language conflict. An academic award, a foreign partner’s accreditation and eligibility to practise in a particular jurisdiction are separate questions; applicants need the exact programme and relevant regulator’s current requirements.
