Comenius University Bratislava's Faculty of Medicine has run medical education since 1919, the founding faculty of Slovakia's oldest university. Its English-medium General Medicine programme leads to the MUDr degree, a Slovak state medical qualification listed in EU Directive 2005/36/EC Annex V for automatic recognition across the EU and EEA since Slovakia's 2004 EU accession.
The Faculty of Medicine offers General Medicine in parallel Slovak- and English-medium tracks, admitting roughly 240 General Medicine students per cycle. Applicants sit a fixed-question-pool entrance exam prepared with published practice materials, giving a transparent, exam-score-only path to admission.

University accommodation is available at the Druzba and Ludovit Stur-Mlyny dormitories, with dormitory room rates estimated in the roughly EUR 72-174 per month range depending on room type, alongside private-market options via ESN partnerships. The university's own broader cost-of-living estimate cites EUR 250-300 per month for housing, a notably higher figure than the dormitory-only estimate, so applicants should confirm current dormitory pricing and availability directly with the university.

If you are planning MBBS admission in Russia, the real decision is not whether admission is possible. It is whether you are choosing the right university, preparing the right documents, and entering on a pathway that still makes sense for India-return goals later.
If you are comparing Russia seriously, the duration question is really about structure, internship, and planning. The useful answer is not a brochure number. It is understanding how the six-year pathway works and what that means for your long-term medical journey.
If your first question is cost, Russia belongs on the shortlist. But the smartest budget decision is not the cheapest seat on paper. It is the cheapest Russia option that still makes sense for the student's full six-year journey.
The best Russia shortlist is not a generic top-10 table. It is a fit-based decision across brand, public-university value, city comfort, cost, and long-term pathway sense. This page is built to help families shortlist wisely, not just scroll names.
