Duke Kunshan University: Hostel & Accommodation

All undergraduates are required to live in university accommodation for all four years, including university-operated offsite buildings where applicable. Graduate students are encouraged to apply for campus rooms, but availability is limited and a room is not guaranteed. Residence Life manages applications through Mercury and considers accessibility recommendations through SASO. Confirm room category, break-period access and approved study-away arrangements.

The published international budgets separate board from tuition and accommodation. The undergraduate budget warns that campus residence and dining facilities close during the winter break. Ask Campus Services about current dining access, dietary or allergy requirements and arrangements during breaks before making a housing plan; a specific halal or vegetarian service is not confirmed here.

DKU’s residential campus combines liberal arts study with student clubs, advising and learning communities. Undergraduates share a common curriculum before declaring a major in year two. Residence Life coordinates resident assistants and community events; students must plan separately for approved study-away periods.

International Student Services supports visa and residence questions. Campus resources include a clinic, Counseling and Wellness Services, and Case Management. The university’s contact page lists the campus emergency number +86 512 3665 7110. US study phases require separate immigration and health arrangements. International Enrollment Management handles prospective undergraduate questions, while each graduate programme has its own admissions contact. Enrolled students can use academic advising, writing/language support, accessibility services and International Student Services. Students Traffic can help compare exact degrees, costs and documents, with applications submitted through DKU’s official process.
