Question 1

Which English undergraduate subjects can I consider?

Accepted Answer

Agronomy and Business Economics are offered in English, alongside the HNU–ASU joint routes in Hotel Management, Public Administration, Human Geography and Urban–Rural Planning, and E-Commerce. Business Economics also has a Chinese route; choose the intended delivery language in your application.

Question 2

Which master fields are available in English?

Accepted Answer

English routes include Business Administration, daily living-related disciplines, Crop Science, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Medicine, Computer Technology, Biomedical Engineering, Law, Biology and Biotechnology and Engineering. Joint Public Administration and Tourism Management have separate award conditions. Chemistry is expressly included in the 2027 Type B scholarship call.

Question 3

How long are the degrees?

Accepted Answer

The English bachelor routes have four-year nominal study. Ordinary HNU masters, including international masters, have three-year nominal study. Maximum or minimum completion windows are different from the nominal duration. The two-year ASU-only autonomous master route is a separate award arrangement and is not substituted for the regular HNU joint master.

Question 4

Which campus will I attend?

Accepted Answer

Agronomy is at Danzhou; Business Economics and the joint programmes are at Guanlanhu. Biomedical Engineering is at Yazhou, and many science, computing and law masters are at Haidian. Crop Science campus depends on the school. daily living-related masters use Guanlanhu’s Chengxi teaching site. Confirm your programme and residence assignments in the offer.

Question 5

What English results are required?

Accepted Answer

IELTS 6.0 with no component below 6.0 is required, or the published TOEFL paper-based 560 / internet-based 78 threshold. Chinese and English threshold wording differs at the boundary, so confirm a boundary score before relying on it. Waivers depend on whether the regular, provincial or Type B route applies; do not assume an English-medium-school waiver.

Question 6

Which CSCA papers apply to English undergraduate study?

Accepted Answer

Agronomy requires Science Chinese, Mathematics and Chemistry. The English Business Economics route requires Mathematics. Hotel Management requires Humanities Chinese, Mathematics and Physics. The other joint undergraduate rows require Humanities Chinese and Mathematics. English programme delivery does not make every CSCA paper an English paper.

Question 7

Will I need Chinese for an English degree?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Chinese study and graduation proficiency requirements remain applicable. Joint undergraduate public courses use Chinese, while professional/core courses use English. The exact graduation standard must be confirmed for the degree and applicable regulations; an English teaching label does not establish a Chinese-free course or award.

Question 8

What age limits apply?

Accepted Answer

Regular undergraduate admission permits ages 18–45. Provincial scholarship applicants must be below 30 for bachelor study and below 35 for master study. The Type B master call differs between Chinese and English wording at age 35; applicants at that boundary should obtain confirmation. Do not apply one route’s age rule to another route.

Question 9

What fees should I budget for?

Accepted Answer

The ordinary international schedule gives annual undergraduate arts/science categories of CNY 18,400/20,700 and master categories of CNY 20,700/23,000. Confirm the programme category and final amount. Joint programmes have separate schedules and international charges require confirmation. The application charge is CNY 400 nonrefundable; insurance, housing and medical examinations are separate.

Question 10

What documents and financial evidence are needed?

Accepted Answer

Regular applications require academic certificates and transcripts, language results, passport records, health and police evidence, and a bank deposit of at least CNY 50,000 or equivalent. Undergraduates need two recommendations, including one from a high-school teacher. Master study plans exceed 1,000 words; Type B also requires two professor or associate-professor references. Additional identity, transfer or employment documents may apply.

Question 11

What are the 2027 deadlines?

Accepted Answer

Regular undergraduate applications close on 30 June 2027 for September entry. The provincial scholarship deadline is 1 May 2027; Type B closes on 28 February 2027, Beijing time. A new regular 2027 master deadline is not established. Scholarship registration is generally August–September, with the exact date in the admission offer.

Question 12

Are scholarships automatic?

Accepted Answer

No. LTU full scholarships require an eligible alliance institution’s official recommendation; sister-city awards require foreign-government nomination, and ASEAN awards are limited to ASEAN nationals. Other provincial categories and Type B have their own selection and annual-review conditions. Scholarship availability is not an assumed discount or guaranteed admission.

Question 13

What do the joint degrees award?

Accepted Answer

Qualifying joint undergraduates receive HNU graduation and bachelor certificates and an ASU bachelor award. The regular joint masters conditionally award HNU graduation/master certificates plus an ASU master award. Students must meet both universities’ requirements. Optional US study has separate charges. Veterinary admission separately does not establish a clinical licence or professional registration.
