Campus life, Indian student community, food options, and day-to-day living at Hangzhou Normal University in Hangzhou.
HZNU identifies Cangqian, Yuhuangshan and Xiasha campuses. Its international education office is at 2318 Yuhangtang Road, and the computing-school brochures explicitly locate Computer Science and Electronic Information study at Cangqian. Confirm the exact classroom and residence allocation for other faculties. International programmes combine subject study with specific Chinese-language completion conditions. Campus residence willingness is required under the current international admission policy; plan arrival and study routines around the actual assigned building.
Only applicants willing to live on campus are accepted under the reviewed international policy. The 2026 guide mainly lists single rooms at CNY 7000, 10000 or 14000 per academic year, with utilities paid separately. The fee schedule lists a CNY 300 deposit, annual residence payment, first-come allocation and no reservation service. Bedding is not free; students may provide it or buy an optional set, quoted around CNY 400. Confirm the actual building, available rate and arrival allocation with the school; a published price does not reserve a room.
Food planning should follow the assigned campus and residence. The reviewed international guide describes accommodation facilities, but does not establish halal certification, specialised vegetarian provision, allergen handling or kitchen access for every room. Ask the international office about current dining options and discuss ingredients and cross-contact with the dining staff before relying on a meal arrangement.
The current guides require recent non-criminal and health records, a signed Anti-Drug Commitment, insurance and arrival health procedures. The fee schedule describes designated local medical verification and drug testing. Follow the university’s registration and residence instructions, and confirm current emergency and health contacts on arrival. No campus crime-rate or individual safety guarantee is asserted.
