Madurai Kamaraj University: Hostel & Accommodation

The prospectus provides separate men’s and women’s hostels at the Palkalai Nagar campus. Students seeking a place should approach the respective Warden after completing admission formalities and obtain the hostel application there. Admission does not itself guarantee accommodation; ask about vacancies, allotment rules and current charges.

Applicants requiring particular meal or dietary arrangements should ask the relevant hostel about its current mess provision, menu, costs and rules before accepting accommodation. The academic fee table should not be treated as an inclusive residence and food package.

Regular department students study at the Palkalai Nagar university campus in Madurai. The prospectus describes a central library, computing and language laboratories, internet facilities and separate hostels for men and women. Departmental study and campus services differ from affiliated-college or distance-education arrangements.

Applicants should obtain current department and hostel contacts, campus rules and emergency arrangements when joining. Plan the journey to Palkalai Nagar and confirm accommodation before travel; academic admission and hostel allotment are separate decisions. The university offers central library, computing and language-learning facilities. The prospectus describes category-based fee concessions and admission-document verification. International applicants use the International Students Affairs office for qualification assessment and the applicable university admission route.
