Which campus and programmes are included?

These are 39 current two-year postgraduate routes in the university’s own schools and departments at Palkalai Nagar, Madurai. Affiliated colleges, Tallakulam university college and distance education are separate routes and are not covered by these programme facts.

Are admissions currently open?

The official 2026–27 university admissions portal states that admissions are closed. Check the next university notification for fresh application dates, selection instructions and available programmes; a current programme listing is not a promise that applications are open.

Do all postgraduate degrees require the same undergraduate qualification?

No. The current prospectus gives named undergraduate disciplines, subject combinations and marks thresholds for each programme. For example, some science courses require specified ancillary subjects; language programmes can require prior study of the particular language. Compare the exact programme conditions before applying.

Are the listed fees tuition or total costs?

The confirmed INR amounts are the isolated annual tuition in the 2026–27 domestic standard schedule. Laboratory, consumables, special, computer, deposit and other charges are separate. Each programme’s fee note retains the published first-year and second-year total academic payments; accommodation and daily living should be budgeted separately.

Are fee concessions available?

The prospectus says admissible tuition is not collected from SC/ST candidates at admission and admissible tuition and special fees are not collected from disabled candidates. Eligibility and government conditions apply. Standard published tuition should not be read as overriding an applicant’s valid category concession.

Can overseas applicants apply?

The university publishes an international postgraduate admission route through its International Students Affairs office. Applicants need the programme-specific academic qualification, AIU equivalence and authenticated academic records. The published INR domestic tariff does not establish the overseas course fee; obtain a specific assessment and invoice.

Is teaching language confirmed for every programme?

No. The named university-department M.A. English regulation explicitly establishes English for that continued programme. Other programme language labels remain blank where the applicable teaching language has not been established; a language subject or English website is not a teaching-language guarantee.

Can university admission include a campus logistics place?

The prospectus directs admitted students who need accommodation to the respective men’s or women’s campus logistics Warden. campus logistics applications, vacancies, allotment and charges are separate from academic admission, so obtain a current decision before relying on university accommodation.

Does a listed degree guarantee employment or a professional licence?

No. These are academic programme records. Practical training, further-study eligibility, recruitment and professional registration depend on the exact curriculum, opportunity and relevant authority. Professional courses with unresolved applicable approval are kept separate from this portfolio.
