Manonmaniam Sundaranar University: Hostel & Accommodation

The prospectus identifies men’s and women’s hostels at the main university campus. It also identifies women’s hostel facilities at the marine centre in Rajakkamangalam and the environmental centre in Alwarkurichi. Room allocation, current availability and hostel charges require a separate enquiry; do not assume main-campus facilities cover every extension location.

Hostel and meal charges need separate confirmation for the assigned campus. Ask about current mess arrangements, dietary requirements and payment before accepting accommodation; the published tuition does not include food.

The main university campus is at Abishekapatti, Tirunelveli. Teaching locations differ by degree: BSc programmes use the City Complex in Shanthi Nagar; environmental programmes are at Alwarkurichi, marine programmes at Rajakkamangalam, and selected postgraduate degrees at the Nagercoil extension centre. Confirm the assigned teaching location before arranging travel or accommodation.

The main university campus has a health centre with a medical laboratory and a 24-hour ambulance facility. Confirm local health and emergency arrangements separately for city, marine, environmental and extension centres. The university library provides printed and electronic resources and an online catalogue. The main campus has an Internet Centre and Wi-Fi. The Equal Opportunity Cell supports eligible student communities; confirm programme and campus-specific access and assistance.
