Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications: FAQ

Ordinary 2026 undergraduate applicants, whether self-funded or scholarship, must take CSCA using English papers. Electronic Information Engineering and Computer Science and Technology require Mathematics and Physics; Business Administration and Electronic Commerce require Mathematics. These undergraduate requirements do not apply to master checklists.

Ordinary 2026 admission uses IELTS 5.5, TOEFL 72 or Duolingo 100. The current 2027 CSC High Level Postgraduate route instead uses IELTS 6, TOEFL 80 or Duolingo 120. Automatic native-English or prior-English-study waivers are not established here; confirm acceptance of your exact certificate.

The English master catalogue explicitly prints two years for Electronic Information, Integrated Circuit Engineering, Computer Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Business Administration, Social Work and Educational Technology. Matched 2026 subject plans may permit up to four years, which is a maximum study period rather than a separate advertised degree. Do not infer MBA/MSc/MEng/MSW awards from master level alone.

Use the NJUPT international application portal and pay CNY 800 inside the system; bank transfer is invalid. A preliminary materials review is followed by a faculty video interview and competitive evaluation. After admission, use the portal Admission Notice and emailed electronic JW202 link; bring originals on time. The ordinary 2026 postgraduate document note additionally requires a post-enrolment examination; confirm the current cohort procedure. Undergraduate registration includes qualification checks.

Only Electronic Information, Computer Technology, Artificial Intelligence and Business Administration are English master subjects in the current scheme list. Submit both CSC and NJUPT applications, Type B/agency 10293, by 28 February 2027. Interviews are planned for March, followed by nomination and final CSC review. An application or university pre-admission is not a guaranteed scholarship.

For selected 2027 CSC recipients, the scheme covers tuition, accommodation, living expenses and comprehensive medical insurance; international travel is excluded. The CNY 800 application fee remains printed. Other freshman Chinese-government, local-government and university scholarships cannot be combined under the scheme, and annual review and host/major/duration restrictions apply.

The 2026 ordinary annual tuition basis is CNY 18000 for bachelors and 22000 for masters, indicative for a future cycle. Xianlin apartments are 1500/year for a four-person undergraduate room or 4000/year for a two-person postgraduate room. Application 800 and personal expenses are separate; the guide’s all-fees non-refund clause and apartment early-departure calculation should be resolved in the applicable contract.

The ordinary and CSC guides require the provisional supervisor acceptance letter only for Ph D applicants. Master applicants still need two professor/associate-professor references and a study plan longer than 3000 Chinese characters or English words. The 2026 guide requires new postgraduates to finish supervisor selection by 1 September. The 2027 CSC guide does not independently print this timing or an ordinary bank-proof requirement; confirm its own checklist.

Ordinary 2026 applications ran from early January to end May, with registration in early September 2026. Those dates have passed. Current 2027 CSC applications close 28 February 2027, but the exact 2027 registration/start month is not printed; confirm the next ordinary cycle or the date on the individual Admission Notice before travel.
