Ningbo University: Hostel & Accommodation

The 2026 guide lists limited campus housing and requires advance application. Its indicative options include Yangguang rooms at CNY 1200 per month per person for a single or CNY 900 for a double; Wong Chingmao/Yong-Jiang double rooms at CNY 4000 per academic year per person; and Meishan double rooms at CNY 3500 per academic year per person. Bedding, water and electricity are excluded in the current fee table. Confirm availability, current prices, deposits and room facilities after admission; a published option does not reserve a room.

The university’s published 2023 living guide describes campus dining halls, a Muslim restaurant on the second floor of the Second Canteen and an international restaurant in the International Student Hostel. These are dated main-campus references, not current halal certification or a Meishan meal guarantee. Ask the assigned campus about current operation, ingredients, allergens and specialised dietary handling.

Ningbo University has its main campus at 818 Fenghua Road and a separate Meishan campus at 169 Qixing South Road. The current international guide places Maritime and Transportation, Marine Sciences, and Food Science and Engineering students at Meishan. Other applicants should confirm their faculty’s classroom and residence allocation. The university describes international exchanges, research platforms and cooperation across disciplines, but these do not automatically include overseas study or a second foreign degree. Degree study and daily travel should be planned around the actual faculty location.

The published living guide advises protecting documents and valuables, securing rooms, preparing for severe weather and contacting school staff during emergencies. Current admission requires a health examination and non-criminal-record evidence. Confirm local medical and emergency arrangements during registration. These procedures do not establish a campus crime rate or guarantee individual safety. International College coordinates international admission and faculty review. Its guides give admissions@nbu.edu.cn and +86 574 87600335. The staff directory also identifies student-management services, including a Meishan service role. Students Traffic can help compare exact English routes, organise documents and plan costs; admission, scholarships, visas and housing remain subject to official decisions.
