Campus life, Indian student community, food options, and day-to-day living at RCSI University of Medicine and Health Sciences in Dublin.
RCSI's Direct Entry Medicine programme offers 75 EU and 225 non-EU places per year, taught through Case-Based Learning in small groups of around 12 students, with a Personal Tutor assigned to every student and six cross-year learning communities. RCSI states it is among the first Irish higher-education institutions authorised by Quality and Qualifications Ireland to use the TrustEd Ireland mark.
RCSI operates its own Mercer Court residence (Millin House plus Mercer Apartments), a short walk from campus, with 24/7 security and a dedicated accommodation manager. For a 41-week lease (11 September 2026-25 June 2027), Mercer Apartments run EUR 322/week single (EUR 13,202 total) or EUR 220/week twin (EUR 9,020 total), and Millin House runs EUR 332/week single (EUR 13,612 total) or EUR 244/week twin (EUR 10,004 total). Students who prefer private rental can use RCSI Student Services' guidance, though the university does not book private housing on students' behalf.
No specific on-campus meal plan or dining-cost figure is published. Mercer Court residences include shared or communal kitchens; food costs should be planned as part of an independent living-cost budget.
No university-published campus-safety statistics were found. Mercer Court residence includes 24/7 security and a dedicated accommodation manager for resident students.
Every student is assigned a Personal Tutor, and the curriculum is built around six cross-year learning communities with a positive-education-informed, well-being-focused design. RCSI Student Services provides accommodation guidance, and international scholarship queries go through the RCSI Admissions Office.
