Which English routes are verified?

The shortlist has three bachelors, four ordinary masters and the separate WMU joint MSc. Other Chinese/English-labelled routes remain held where an independent English study option is not established.

How do the degree awards differ?

Marine Navigation’s specialist brochure proves Bachelor of Engineering; Transport Management proves Bachelor Degree of Management. Other ordinary routes retain their native category/neutral parent without guessed MSc/MEng/BAequivalence. The joint MSc is awarded only by WMU.

What are the 2027 application dates?

Ordinary applications open 1 December 2026. SGS closes 30 April 2027, self-financed 30 May 2027; CGS masters close 1 February 2027. Marine Navigation’s specialist brochure gives 30 April 2027, so confirm its route-specific cutoff. WMU joint applications run 1 September 2026–31 March 2027.

What English evidence is required?

Ordinary English routes list recent IELTS 6.0,TOEFL 80 or Cambridge B2+, with specified native/prior-English-medium/approved-equivalent alternatives. Joint WMU admission separately requires international English-test evidence and board approval of alternatives; ordinary waivers do not transfer.

The general English bachelor guide requires Mathematics using the English paper. Materials’2027 row lists Chemistry as an elective subject; ask the university how that annotation applies. Do not assume either compulsory Chemistry or a blanket waiver.

What are the age and qualification limits?

Ordinary bachelor applicants need high-school graduation and age 18–25; ordinary masters require a bachelor degree or above and ageunder 35. Former Chinese citizens have specific foreign-nationality/residence evidence rules. WMU joint admission uses separate academic/professional entry criteria.

Is a supervisor letter compulsory?

For ordinary masters, a Supervision Intention Letter may be submitted for priority consideration. It is not an official admission document, and supervisors may change during review or after registration. Two professor/associate-professor recommendations are required.

How much is ordinary tuition?

The current 2027 guide quotes CNY 20000 per year for ordinary bachelors and 23000 for ordinary masters. The CNY 400 application fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. Housing, utilities, living expenses and other actual charges are separate; confirm insurance and the final invoice.

How is the WMU joint fee different?

The dated ITL 2028 prospectus quotes CNY 120000 for the entire programme, including teaching materials, excluding accommodation and living expenses. It is not an annual fee. Confirm study-trip/travel costs and the final payment instructions with the Programme Office.

How long is the WMU joint programme?

The current 80-credit version is 14 months,May 2027–July 2028. Terms 1/2 have Shanghai classroom study; the dissertation term may be remote. An old WMU overview describes 15 months/88 credits; that version is not transferred to this cohort.

Does navigation graduation grant a seafarer licence?

The programme describes STCW operational-level learning goals and maritime training. A degree is not presented here as an automatic licence, Co C/Co P or nationality-specific certification entitlement. Confirm practical-training and certification requirements with the responsible programme and authority.

What accommodation and meals are described?

Reserve accommodation when applying; published Lingang room options have distinct daily/semester prices, with energy allowances and extra charges. The daily living page identifies Hai’xin A 5 for Muslim dining. Confirm actual allocation, current prices and dietary preparation details.
