Which undergraduate entrance papers apply?

Petroleum, mechanical, computing, electrical and civil engineering require CSCA Mathematics and Physics. Chemical Engineering and Technics and International Economy and Trade expressly require Mathematics and Chemistry in the current table. Confirm the exact examination language directly; the guide’s English teaching label alone is not used to infer the paper language.

What age and passport rules apply?

The bachelor published age range is 18–25 and the master condition is under 35. The guide gives a four-year passport-validity rule for bachelors and three years for masters; English wording says more than those periods. Confirm the reference date and precise expiry and age cutoffs for the next cycle. No future expiry date is calculated here.

What documents do bachelor applicants prepare?

Prepare the high-school graduation certificate and transcripts, accepted English evidence, exact examination results, passport, bank-issued financial guarantee, recent non-criminal record evidence and health form. Certified Chinese/English translations are supplied where required. The regular bachelor list does not add a research plan or professor recommendations.

What documents do master applicants prepare?

Prepare bachelor qualification and transcripts, English evidence, a Chinese/English research plan of at least 1,500 words under the English guide and two professor/associate-professor recommendations. Add passport, bank-issued financial guarantee, police evidence within three months and health record within six months. No fixed bank balance, supervisor letter or CV is added without programme confirmation.

What are the published tuition and other charges?

The 2026 annual tuition references are CNY 16,000 for bachelors and CNY 20,000 for masters. Insurance is CNY 1,000/year and the registration charge CNY 600. Confirm the next schedule, payment timing and refund terms directly. No unverified application deposit or automatic scholarship reduction is applied to these reference prices.

What accommodation charges are listed?

The table gives male bachelor four-person rooms CNY 2,200/year and female bachelor triple rooms CNY 3,300/year. Master double rooms are CNY 4,400/year for both listed categories. Confirm assignment, room facilities and the billing basis; the annual table does not independently establish a per-person charge or guarantee a particular room.

What scholarships can I consider?

The guide identifies Chinese Government, Sichuan Provincial Government, Chengdu Belt and Road, and Chengdu Sister City government schemes. Eligibility, programme coverage, dates and benefits follow the applicable call, including any nationality or city conditions. No award is automatic. The linked older government-scholarship notice does not establish a current or future application window.

When can I apply and register?

The published 2026 application deadline was 30 May, including the bachelor examination-result submission date. Registration timing and method follow the admission notice. Confirm the next exact degree cycle directly before relying on a deadline or booking travel; no future intake month is inferred from the past schedule.

Is the MBA entirely in English?

The current international catalogue lists MBA under English teaching, but the published international MBA plan permits bilingual or all-English courses and expressly requires a Chinese thesis. Its nominal duration is three years; the two-to-five-year study window is not a two-year programme. Confirm the current governing plan and actual cohort language before choosing that route.

Where will I study and who supports applications?

SWPU has Chengdu and Nanchong campuses. The international admissions office is Library C603 in Chengdu, but that address does not allocate every programme or residence. Use the official portal and university review process, then confirm the actual campus, arrival documents and housing in the university’s instructions. Students Traffic can help compare public details and prepare questions.

Bachelor's Chemical Engineering at Southwest Petroleum University — 13 questions answered

These are the most common questions Indian students and families ask before applying for Bachelor's Chemical Engineering at Southwest Petroleum University, Chengdu. Covering admissions, fees, recognition, eligibility, hostel, career outcomes, and the India-return pathway — everything you need before making your decision.

What English fields are available?

The current international catalogue includes bachelor routes in petroleum, mechanical, chemical, computing, electrical and civil engineering, and international trade. Master choices include petroleum/natural gas, geology, geological resources, engineering, environment, materials, computing and control fields. Use the exact programme title and current university assessment for the chosen route.

How long are the degrees and what award is established?

The English bachelor catalogue states four years and the master catalogue three years. The source establishes qualification level but does not prove a BEng, BSc, MSc or MEng abbreviation for these routes. The MBA is separately named and has its own international programme plan; its language/completion arrangements require confirmation.

What English evidence is required?

The guide asks for English proficiency evidence such as TOEFL, IELTS or previous-stage English scores/certification. It does not give a universal numeric score or a blanket English-medium/native-language exemption. Confirm the accepted document and assessment for the exact programme rather than borrowing another university’s score.
