Campus life, Indian student community, food options, and day-to-day living at Southwest Petroleum University in Chengdu.
SWPU combines academic schools with an engineering training centre and international admissions support. Degree residence references differ by level and the university’s published gender categories. Confirm the actual programme campus, residence and daily commute before travel; the Chengdu international-office location does not establish every teaching or research assignment.
The 2026 accommodation table lists male bachelor four-person rooms at CNY 2,200/year and female bachelor triple rooms at CNY 3,300/year. Masters have a double-room reference of CNY 4,400/year in both published gender categories. Confirm the actual allocation, room facilities and whether the quoted billing unit is per bed, person or room before payment; the table states annual amounts without resolving that basis here.
Confirm campus dining locations, specific dietary needs and permitted food preparation for the assigned residence. The guide provides residence charges and an insurance reference, but it does not establish a compulsory meal plan, universal halal provision, residence kitchen access or a fixed food budget. Plan daily expenses separately from the published tuition and room references.
The checklist requires non-criminal record evidence from the previous three months and a physical examination record within six months. The 2026 insurance charge is CNY 1,000 per year. Confirm current insurance coverage, arrival health checks and document formats before travel; no unverified reimbursement entitlement or additional bank-history rule is assumed.
The international cooperation office publishes a dedicated admissions and foreign staff/student document office. Its staff support the official application and international-document enquiry route, while university review determines admission. Students Traffic can help compare public information and prepare questions; no delegated admission, funding or residence decision is implied.
