Accommodation overview
Dennis Irvine Hall of Residence, about five minutes from Turkeyen Campus, explicitly prioritizes foreign students in its room allocation, offering single rooms at USD 240/month and double rooms at USD 200/month, plus a refundable USD 50 deposit. A second hall, New Building Society Hall, is available at a flat GYD 20,000/month rate but does not carry the same foreign-student priority.
Food & daily living
Residence halls include communal kitchen and dining facilities; no separate university-run meal-plan cost beyond room rates is published.
Campus & lifestyle
Students train at Turkeyen Campus and complete clinical rotations at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC), Guyana's leading national referral hospital, with a foreign-student housing priority policy at one of the university's residence halls just five minutes from campus.
Safety & student support
No university-published campus-safety statistics were found during research. International applicants apply through the university's SRMS online portal, pay a USD 10 non-refundable processing fee per programme, and are guided through eligibility categories including A-Level and CAPE-equivalent secondary qualifications.
