Women's Christian College, Chennai: Hostel & Accommodation

The prospectus describes six residential halls and publishes separate hostel charges. Hostel application, allocation and rules are separate from academic admission. Confirm current availability, room arrangements, mess charges, deposits, reporting requirements and the full accommodation budget before paying.

Accommodation and meals need a separate budget from course tuition. Specific allergy management, individual medical diets and guaranteed dietary provision have not been verified. Discuss meal choices and any personal dietary requirements with the hostel before accepting accommodation.

The College Road campus includes historic Doveton House, academic blocks, library facilities and student activity spaces. Student clubs, cultural activities, sports and extension work contribute to campus life. Aided and self-financed shifts have different daily class timings, which matter when planning travel and attendance.

The prospectus publishes anti-ragging expectations and the college provides student welfare and grievance mechanisms. Obtain current reporting contacts and residence rules when enrolling. Assess personal accessibility, health and emergency needs directly rather than treating these institutional procedures as a guarantee of safety. The college lists library resources, physical education, extension activities and counselling through its Psychology department’s Vikaas service. Applicants with disabilities should check the current certification and academic-exemption process. Scholarship and fee concessions depend on specific documentation and conditions.
