Which Women’s Christian College is this?

This is Women’s Christian College on College Road, Chennai, affiliated to the University of Madras and using wcc.edu.in. The colleges with similar names in Nagercoil and Kolkata are separate institutions.

Who are these programmes for?

The college describes education for women. Each listing covers women using the verified regular domestic admission route, subject to the exact programme qualification, marks where specified and college verification.

What is the difference between the shifts?

Shift I is government-aided and normally runs 08:00–13:20. Shift II is self-financed and normally runs 12:30–17:30. Select the exact programme and shift; daily timings and fee totals differ.

Which subjects and marks are required?

The requirements are programme-specific. History requires above 55%; several Commerce degrees require 65% in core papers, Computer Applications 60%, and Honours 75%. Science routes specify school subjects, while PG degrees specify qualifying degrees. Read the exact offering conditions.

What language is used for teaching?

The institutional SSR generated 20 May 2025 names the supported programme and shift as English medium. The same awards continue in the 2026–27 prospectus. This is dated evidence; confirm current arrangements with the department. School-language and foundation-English requirements are separate matters.

When was the first semester scheduled?

The tentative 2026–27 college calendar explicitly includes Semester I and schedules its first working day for 15 June 2026. This is a published planned baseline, not independently confirmed actual commencement or an announcement of a future/open admission window.

How long are these programmes?

The 2026–27 prospectus describes six semesters for the listed ordinary bachelor degrees and four semesters for taught postgraduate degrees. These correspond to three and two years. The separate five-year integrated Computer Science and Technology award is not included in that assumption.

Is annual tuition confirmed?

The prospectus publishes first-semester totals by qualifying board/university category, with a separate foreign-student column and campus logistics amount. Annual tuition is not isolated. Request an itemised quote showing tuition, compulsory fees, examinations, deposits, accommodation and meals separately.

Use the official college website and submit a separate online application for each exact programme. Monitor the official website and registered email/mobile for provisional selection, payment deadlines and original-document verification instructions.

Can foreign applicants apply through these entries?

The prospectus describes foreign-student registration and publishes foreign first-semester fee totals. Programme-specific overseas availability and equivalence arrangements remain to be confirmed; these entries cover the verified regular domestic route.

Are Christian documents required for everyone?

The application instructions request baptism or church-membership evidence only if the applicant is Christian. They also list academic marks, photograph, student and parent signatures and community/disability documents where applicable. Do not assume a Christian-only admission rule.

Is campus logistics accommodation included?

campus logistics application and allocation are separate from academic admission, and published campus logistics charges are separate from course fees. Confirm availability, residence rules, meal arrangements costs, deposits and reporting arrangements before committing.
