Practice varies by school. The Bristol Robotics Laboratory, a joint centre with the University of Bristol on Frenchay Campus, covers over 4,600 square metres and around 450 academics, researchers and industry practitioners working on human-robot interaction, assistive and medical robotics, driverless vehicles and soft robotics. Engineering programmes are professionally accredited (IMechE for Mechanical and Automotive, IET for Electrical and Electronic, ICE/JBM for Civil, RAeS for Aerospace up to the 2025 intake with reaccreditation being pursued for 2026 entry). Bristol Business School holds accreditation links with ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW, CIPD, CMI and CII on relevant courses. Architecture (BSc Hons) is RIBA Part 1 validated. Art and Design courses are studio-based at Bower Ashton with access to specialist print, photography and fashion workshops.
