Which English undergraduate subjects are supported?

The current catalogue lists Chemical Engineering and Technology, Polymer Materials and Engineering, Chemistry, Bioengineering and Computer Science and Technology, plus the UIBE+BUCT joint dual degree. The computer-science CSCA Physics requirement differs between current sources and needs confirmation before application.

Are all master programmes taught in English?

No. Thirteen school-and-subject entries explicitly offer English alongside Chinese. Other master entries are Chinese-only; a French-and-English route is separate. Choose the exact school and English option and confirm supervisor availability.

Is the UIBE+BUCT route one or two degrees?

The dedicated route description specifies a four-year, entirely English curriculum leading to a UIBE Bachelor of Economics in International Economic Development Cooperation and a BUCT Bachelor of Engineering in Polymer Materials and Engineering, subject to graduation and thesis conditions. The 2027 BUCT catalogue continues to list it.

Are the French/English routes fully English?

A wholly English selectable route has not been established for the mixed French/English programmes. They are not included among these English offerings; confirm the language phases and French requirements directly.

What language scores apply?

The 2027 guide gives undergraduate IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL 85, and master’s IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL 85, or recognised equivalent English certification. Native English speakers are exempt. This does not create an automatic medium-of-instruction waiver for every ordinary route.

What nationality and age conditions apply?

Undergraduates need a high-school qualification and the guide states age 18–25, with Beijing-resident guardianship documents for under-18 applicants. Masters require a bachelor’s degree or equivalent and age under 35. Applicants with Chinese background must satisfy the applicable Ministry of Education conditions.

Do master’s applicants need a supervisor letter?

Yes. The university explicitly requires an acceptance letter from a BUCT professor and states that applicants without it will not be considered candidates. Two recommendations and a study proposal are also required.

What are the 2027 deadlines?

The general undergraduate and postgraduate guides give 30 June 2027. The specific CSC Type B High Level Postgraduate guide sets 28 February 2027 and requires both CSC and BUCT applications. Undergraduate scholarship deadlines must be checked with the award and dispatching authority.

How much is tuition?

The 2027 guide quotes CNY 20,000 annually for ordinary undergraduate routes, CNY 49,750 for the UIBE+BUCT joint dual degree and CNY 35,000 for English master’s routes. Application, accommodation, insurance and residence-permit charges are separate.

What are the other published charges?

Application fees are CNY 500 for ordinary programmes or CNY 660 for the joint dual degree. Insurance is CNY 800 per year. The guide lists a CNY 400 annual residence-permit charge collected by the immigration authority. Only CNY remittances are accepted; follow official payment instructions.

What housing and dining are available?

Published housing references are CNY 21,600 yearly for a twin room at Chaoyang or Changping and CNY 25,200 for a Changping single. Rooms depend on availability and allocation. Dining provision includes Chinese, Western and Muslim options according to the campus-facilities page.

Does CSC funding guarantee admission or renewal?

No. The specific postgraduate scholarship guide lists tuition, accommodation, insurance and a CNY 3,000 monthly master’s allowance, with selection and continuing review conditions. Submit on both systems using institution 10010 and Type B; admission and funding decisions remain separate.

Can I assume the campus from the school name?

No. Schools and supervisor lists identify the academic unit. Confirm the teaching location, research facilities and housing campus in the offer, especially for joint or cross-institutional study.
