SSR Medical College admits two cohorts a year (February/March and August/September), each around 75 students, on an 18-acre campus near Curepipe with more than 300 hostel rooms across 10 blocks. College transport runs between the campus and its teaching hospitals.
The campus has more than 300 hostel rooms across 10 blocks, a short distance from the academic building, with separate accommodation for men and women. Rooms are furnished twin-sharing with an attached bathroom; a single-occupancy option is generally available from the second year, subject to availability. Hostel space covers roughly 80% of students, so it is not guaranteed for everyone. A one-time, non-refundable Hostel Registration Fee of USD 2,000 applies, plus USD 100/month for a twin-sharing room or USD 200/month for a single room, paid in advance for the full year. Hostel residence is not compulsory; students may live off-campus from the second year with permission.
Admissions support

Two contractor-run messes operate on campus, catering Indian and other cuisines on a cash-and-carry basis, at an approximate cost of USD 100-170 per month; mess charges are paid directly to the operator, not to the college.
No university-published campus-safety statistics were found. The hostel blocks are separated by gender, and the college provides its own transport between campus and teaching hospitals.
Admissions and student queries are handled through the college's Mauritius registered office and a New Delhi liaison office; the college explicitly states it has no recruiting agents and warns applicants to pay fees only directly to its own bank account.

If you are planning MBBS admission in Russia, the real decision is not whether admission is possible. It is whether you are choosing the right university, preparing the right documents, and entering on a pathway that still makes sense for India-return goals later.
If you are comparing Russia seriously, the duration question is really about structure, internship, and planning. The useful answer is not a brochure number. It is understanding how the six-year pathway works and what that means for your long-term medical journey.
If your first question is cost, Russia belongs on the shortlist. But the smartest budget decision is not the cheapest seat on paper. It is the cheapest Russia option that still makes sense for the student's full six-year journey.
The best Russia shortlist is not a generic top-10 table. It is a fit-based decision across brand, public-university value, city comfort, cost, and long-term pathway sense. This page is built to help families shortlist wisely, not just scroll names.
Families searching Russia fees in rupees are trying to answer a practical question: can we really afford this path across six years? This page is built to answer that question better than the generic fee pages in the current SERP.
An MBBS from Russia can be valid in India, but only when the student's full pathway is planned correctly. The real risk is not 'Russia' itself. The risk is choosing the wrong university or ignoring the rules that matter when you return.
