Is the General Medicine programme direct-entry after high school?

Yes. The applicant must have completed secondary-level education including the school-leaving examination -- no prior university degree is required.

What qualification is awarded on graduation?

Graduates receive the MUDr degree, a Czech medical qualification listed under EU Directive 2005/36/EC Annex V for automatic recognition across the EU/EEA.

What entrance exam does the university require?

A 90-minute, computer-based, video-proctored exam with 30 questions each in Biology, Chemistry and Physics (90 total), single-best-answer format with no negative marking. A minimum of 30 out of 90 points is required to pass, with final admission ranked by score against the year's seat capacity (25-50 places).

What is the current tuition fee?

EUR 12,000 per year for students enrolling in 2026/27, per the university's official Dean's Decision fee document. This covers tuition only and excludes health insurance, textbooks, accommodation and living expenses.

Are there additional fees besides tuition?

Yes -- a CZK 2,000 (about EUR 80) application fee, non-refundable if the applicant misses their entrance-exam sitting.

When does the academic year start and when can I apply?

The academic year begins in early October. For the 2026/27 cycle, applications opened 15 November 2025 with entrance-exam sittings running through 18 August 2026; the final application deadline (roughly 4 August 2026, 14 days before that sitting) had not yet passed at the time of this record's research.

Is a scholarship available for international Medicine students?

Yes -- a merit scholarship of EUR 6,000 per year is available to top-performing students from the second year onward (not first-year students), plus a separate CZK 50,000 mobility scholarship and IFMSA-linked internship-exchange opportunities.

Do Indian students need NEET to join this programme?

The university's own admissions criteria do not reference NEET. Separately, India's National Medical Commission requires Indian citizens and OCI holders who obtain a primary medical qualification abroad to have qualified NEET-UG, whose result serves as the mandatory Eligibility Certificate.
