Listed annual room charges are CNY 4,000 for a single room and CNY 2,000–2,500 for a twin room. These options are limited and reserved for PhD students and national-level scholarship recipients; they are not a room guarantee for every applicant. The refundable room deposit is CNY 200. Water is free, electricity is CNY 0.55/kWh, and heating is extra if used.

Public kitchens are available in Dormitories 1 and 6. International students can use e-cards at the east, middle and west-campus canteens, Qinyuan Canteen and the faculty canteen’s second floor. The middle-campus food court and 1960 Block restaurants also accept Alipay, WeChat Wallet or cash.

International students must have insurance; the listed annual insurance charge is CNY 600. New students take a medical check after registration, listed at CNY 526. Keep your admission, passport and insurance documents available for arrival formalities.

What age and guardian rules apply?

Bachelor applicants must be high-school graduates under 25. Those under 18 need letters of approval and an emergency contact for legal guardians in China. Master applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree and be under 35.

Do master applicants need a supervisor acceptance letter?

The ordinary master application does not require a supervisor acceptance letter. Two professor or associate-professor recommendation letters are required. Doctoral applicants have a separate supervisor-acceptance requirement.

When do 2027 applications close?

The university scholarship and self-sponsored deadline is 30 April 2027. The application system closes earlier when full capacity is reached. Other scholarship programmes have their own deadlines.

What does tuition exclude?

The 2027 annual tuition is CNY 15,000 for bachelors and CNY 20,000 for masters. The CNY 500 application fee is non-refundable. Accommodation, insurance, residence-permit, medical-check and living expenses are additional.

Can I cook on campus?
