Frequently asked questions

Is UNNC a public or private university?

UNNC is a non-profit Sino-foreign cooperative university established by Zhejiang Wanli University and the University of Nottingham. Its official institution category is cooperative education, so it is shown separately from the public/private categories.

Which university awards the degree?

The institution charter provides for UNNC undergraduate graduation and degree certificates together with a University of Nottingham degree. Master’s graduates receive a University of Nottingham degree under the applicable academic requirements.

Are the degree courses taught in English?

Degree teaching is in English. A language specialisation or translation course can still require Chinese or another language; English teaching does not remove the HSK conditions on relevant programmes.

Can international students apply to Computer Science with AI?

The BSc Computer Science with Artificial Intelligence accepts international applicants through the relevant country-specific qualification route. It can take three or four years, depending on entry qualifications, and offers 4+0 or 2+2 study models.

Does UNNC offer an AI-related postgraduate course?

MSc Computer Science covers research areas including artificial intelligence, computer vision and machine learning. It runs 21 months over two academic years, with taught study, an enhanced research project and a dissertation; it should not be described as an MSc Artificial Intelligence award.

What is the international tuition fee?

The current published Ningbo schedule is CNY 120,000 per year for undergraduate study and CNY 130,000 per year for the master’s offerings shown here. Confirm the rate for your admission cycle; UK years and living expenses are separate.

What does the 2+2 option mean?

On eligible degrees,2+2 places the final two years at the UK campus. The 4+0 model completes the degree in Ningbo. UK international tuition applies during the UK years, so a Ningbo annual quote is not the full cost of a 2+2 plan.

When should international students apply?

For September 2027, the international undergraduate and taught postgraduate application pages give 30 June 2027 as the deadline, with final supporting results normally due 15 July 2027. Research master’s applicants should check the separate Graduate School route and intended start.

How do I apply?

International undergraduate and taught master’s applications go through the university Application Hub; email and postal applications are not accepted. Prepare the academic records, identity documents, reference and personal statement, plus any programme-specific portfolio, CV or interview requirements.

Is accommodation available?

New students who firmly accept an offer and apply by the accommodation deadline qualify for the university’s conditional room guarantee. Overseas-student accommodation is approximatelyCNY 11,000–20,000 per academic year, depending on room type.

Do all master’s degrees accept any undergraduate subject?

No. For example, MSc International Business excludes Business/Management backgrounds, whereas MSc International Management requires a business-related degree. Fintech, economics, engineering and research master’s have their own subject conditions.

Can Students Traffic help me choose a course?

Students Traffic can help compare your academic background, budget and language readiness with the verified course requirements. Request a profile review before building a shortlist, particularly when comparing preliminary-year entry, a 2+2 route or a research master’s.
